The truth tends to depend on where you are standing, your perspective, how much you can bend the reasons behind what you did so it’s the “truth” but doing the right thing always depends if your heart is in the right place and if you are willing to take the risk to do it. While it seems quite obvious where I got the title for this post (10 point to your house if you got the reference) the context for the post may be a little bit more convoluted. This last year -> 2014 was a rollercoaster in many ways but at the end of these 365 days I have learned a little bit more about me and a few people I know when I compared the effects of not telling lies vs doing the right thing. So without any further wordplay, let’s the games begin!
Take a step back to see more
The truth is that after a while most of us can be overwhelmed by responsibilities, projects, events you wanted to assist and even friends you wanted to keep. But the right thing to do is set priorities, it’s not a lie but an actual honest approach. You will find out that the things that are worth fighting for are those that occupy your mind for one second or for a whole day but they spark something in you. So thanks to those that showed me how to improve and even those that allowed me to disappear.
Doodles and fights
Motivation comes in different forms, moments and reasons. It could come up while you are walking back home or when you are trying to wake up with a cold shower at 5:30 am. You don’t expect it, you may not be prepare but when it hits you, it will take control and you know you will have a new priority in your objectives until you can write/sing/draw it down. You will continue with your life, your objectives but you will have that buzz in your mind about that new “sensacion” and what you can accomplish with it. The true is that I have been looking for inspiration to doodle around for the past 5 years of my life, the funny thing is that I didn’t feel it was the right thing to do until now.
What is something you learned this 2014?
The right thing to do is to be thankful for ending this year in such a great way but I would also like to say that I miss many, many of you in my life and I can’t wait to see you again… One day less until I’m back.
